Sabrina Schmidt is an award-winning professional artist. After a nearly 30-year career as a successful graphic designer, in 2020, Sabrina has focused her time and talent to outdoor painting throughout Southeast Louisiana. Her first plein air festival was in 2022 where she won best in show. Other Plein Air Festival awards include those earned at Farm to Forest Plein Air Alexandria and Best in Show Plein Air Marksville. Sabrina was also honored to be one of 10 artists juried into Art in the Park, En Plein Air Public Arts Project in New Orleans. Recently, one of her works was recognized in Plein Air Today and Outdoor Painter. Sabrina has also been a cover feature in the St. Bernard Magazine and has organized and curated a plein-air exhibition with 15 influential artists which exhibited for 6 months at the Crevasse 22 | Riverhouse Art Gallery. Inspired by light and atmosphere, as well as historical buildings and old-growth trees, Sabrina finds truth in color, allowing the viewer to share in her experience with the subject matter. Sabrina’s work adorns walls nationwide.A New Orleans native, Sabrina resides in St. Bernard Parish.
