This beautifully weathered wooden chest was traditionally used as a hope chest, where women and their families would collect linens and other items in anticipation of married life. This chest would look amazing at the end of a bed for storage or even next to a chair as a side table. It adds a bit of rustic charm and history to your space!

Notably, there are various knicks and discoloration throughout the piece as shown in photos. There is rust on the hinges and an area of wood loss on the front right corner of the piece as shown in photos.
